Friday, August 5th, 2005, 3:23PM: Wow. O_O I really need to get motivated to write in this thing more- it's so unloved. Nothing has happened, my life is so boring. Let me rephrase that: "My summer life is boring." I'm ready to go back to school, see everyone, get back into the swing of things. Only about 2 more weeks left. Summer's gone by fast and then again, it hasn't. Okay, that makes no sense. What I meant to say was that the beginning and middle of summer went by painfully slow because of work and just having the same old routine day after day. Guess that's part of the "charm of the adult world," knowing what you'll be doing from day to day. I can find comfort in that... or I could get incredibly bored waiting around for school to start up. Been looking at some flutes, too. I'm so ready for a new one. Hopefully, I can invest in a new one sometime soon (aiming before X-mas), so I can use it on my recital next semester. I'm going to see Beauty and the Beast this weekend in Manchester with Amanda. Our friend Slick is playing the Beast. lol I'm really looking forward to it, and besides; this is one play I DON'T have to be in the orchestra for. =P Oh, sad news everyone. CHECK THIS ARTICLE OUT: SAD TIMES. Disney's struggling, and I think this is a bad move. Not to say that it wasn't predicted. Oh, well. That's all I have for now. Until another day! ~ Krystle

Wednesday, July 20th, 2005, 5:01PM: I've come to the conclusion that little kids really like me for some reason. I don't really understand it- I've never considered myself to be a "kids person," you know? That's one of the reasons why I resolved to go to grad. school so I could teach college students: I simply didn't think that I'd be a great elementary or middle school teacher. I think I could probably handle high school (note * probably), but I'm just not sure it's something I want to make a career out of. I think too much... LOL I'm always wondering about the future, trying to decide if I'm making the right choices or not. I'm a worry-wart. =P I'd talk more, but I've gotta go work on this Art in the Park thing we're having tomorrow. I have to entertain 30+ kids tomorrow. Should be interesting, but I think the day will go by fast. Then it's off to another insane 3 & 1/2 hour rehearsal tomorrow evening for the shows this coming weekend. I'm a South Jackson Slave. Later. ~ Krystle

Friday, July 15th, 2005, 2:28PM: TGIF. I got my band camp letter yesterday, and frankly, I'm about ready to get out of here. Small town life is about to drive me crazy. Same old routine every day... with fun on the weekends. I mean, I realize college isn't all that different; well, except that you have your friends there to liven things up and no irrate parents yelling at you because you broke curfew. ;) We found out the name of our new associate band director. I'm curious how much of a change it will be in the fall, and Lord help him if the band decides to give him as much crap as we did Foster last year. Right now I'm in the "orchestra" (notice the quotations), for the 50th Anniversary Show at the South Jackson Community Playhouse. It's pretty fun, although it makes for some really long nights sometimes. I need to quit being so nice, especially when my 'lil bro (Martin) is the conductor. The choir can get obnoxious from time to time. Let the good times role. I can't believe almost an entire summer's gone by. The one thing I like about college summer vaca's is the fact that they're so long, you're actually ready to go back to school again when it's over. I feel for the kids around here- school starts for them on July 27th, and band camp's already in session. Craziness. Well, I should probably get back to work. I was getting tired of typing up membership lists and all that crap. O_O ~ Krystle

Monday, July 11th, 2005, 11:00AM: And another Monday roles by... Right now it's completely dreary outside, with Dennis moving through and all. My sister was wanting to stay up until 2AM to see if we got the 72MPH winds like the weather man was forcasting. I don't think she made it, though, and I didn't really care. I hope the people along the Southern coast are fairing all right. I can't imagine having to rebuild your home, like, every other year. I saw on the news where this one man and his wife just gave up living in a house altogether and resorted to living in an RV. Looks like they could just move further North. Anyway... Fantastic Four was pretty good. The drive-in was packed (I've discovered a new pet peeve of mine- people who can't turn off their headlights while the movie's still rolling- it creates this ugly yellow glare, not to mention blotting out portions of the screen). Yesterday, I went to see Dark Water with my sister. It wasn't bad for a scary movie, not really all that scary as it was just suspenseful. I'd say it's probably a renter, though- especially if you live in a town where the movie theater charges you 6 bucks just for the matinee showing alone. O_O There's a new Tim Burton flick coming out that I want to see- Corpse Bride- but I don't think it starts showing until September 23rd. Well, I'm gonna go see what mess I can get into. ttfn ~ Krystle

Friday, July 8th, 2005, 12:12PM: Well, since my boss is no where to be found and I can't finish up my scrap-booking project, I thought I'd goof off on this thing. =P Not a complete waste of time, right? I figured I could start off by saying that this site is gonna take a lot longer to set up then I thought it would... mostly because I have so many ideas for it, and so many things I want to write about and share with other people. So, I guess with that being said, I just need ya'll to bear with me until I can get everything to "looking pretty." lol *sigh* Guess I need to find something constructive to do, since I am at work and all. Supposed to go to the drive-in tonight with Trav to see Fantastic Four... should be pretty good. Well, I've gotta go. ttfn ~ Krystle
